A Taoist tapestry woven ( cosu) fragment

A Taoist tapestry woven ( cosu) fragment.
Extremely fine weaving with gold thread.
Depicting The Grand Mother of the West surrounded by Taoist symbols of prosperity ,longevity and immortality!
Made in China, 17th century or earlier, could possibly carbon date!
It was found in Tibet in the early 1980’s.
Measurements: 9 x 10 ins / 23 x 26cms.

The original weaving has been cut in strips and at a latter date sewn into this form.
The strips would have been used as sutra covers.
Antique textiles were highly prized in Tibet holding for them the wisdom of the previous owners.
